Words of Intimacy Part 3

April 2013

Chapter 1

“You’re still a virgin?"
“Damn Leah. You say it like it is a bad thing?" I said taking a sip of my Shirley Temple. "And please be a little louder. China didn't quite hear the news."

“Sorry. I just knew he had to be hitting that. He must be....never mind. I need another drink." Leah said while waving at the waitress.

"What? He must be what? I want to hear this."

Kisha butted in, "Let it go Macy. She's just jealous."

Leah rolled her false green eyes at Kisha, "Jealous? Of what?  A man who has to be cheating on her? Girl, please. Don't look shocked Macy. Ain't no man going to wait around five plus years for you to be 'ready'. It doesn't matter how cute and thin you may be. Well he may wait but he is getting some on the side. A virgin is nothing but a challenge to the male species."

All I could do was laugh. "Yes cute and thin I may be but the rest is not true. Hard to believe but there are some true gentlemen out there and I found one. I love and trust him and that...that…" My text message alert went off.

'THINKING ABOUT YOU. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU TONIGHT. CAN I COME AND GET YOU WHEN YOU ARE DONE?'

'SURE. PRETTY MUCH DONE NOW.'

I continued, "Sorry about that. But like I was saying I love and trust him and that is all that matters."

Sylver said, “Hell if I had a man treating me the way he treats you, I would LET him have a girl on the side. But where's your man Leah?"

"Jail, but he will be getting out soon." Sylver and I laughed. "Whatever. Well since you man is sooo good. Next round is on you.  Excuse me, miss?" She finally flagged down our waitress. She ordered another drink and laughed. "Speaking of Rollins I am surprised he let you slum with us anyway."

"What?!?" Now what was the girl insinuating now.

"We were raised with a plastic spoon and he had a silver spoon. Leftovers in Cool Whip container, us. Actual Tupperware , him. Just saying. Not to mention he usually has a tight leash on what you do. But wait, I figured it out. He must have a small second head."

"What?!?" We all said in sync.

"I mean, think about it. He knows she's a virgin meaning she has nothing to compare it too." They laughed and I rolled my eyes. "But for real, just remember one thing. Whatever you won't do, the next chica will do. Twice.

We sat there laughing and talking as we normally did every so often to catch up on what we missed. We always came to this whole in the wall of a restaurant since high school except for Kisha. She joined our little clique two years ago. Sometimes I did feel like the oddball of the group because I was a virgin especially when they would talk about sex. But I got over that. I really wanted to wait until I was married and Rollins respected that.

'IM OUTSIDE'

"Well ladies as usually it has been fun and educational but I got to go. A real man is waiting for me." I began putting on my jacket.

Sylver looked at me and said, "See ya at home."

Leah added, "Remember what I said. Twice."

I walked outside and saw a handsome young man standing next to a navy blue 2011 Lincoln MKS. Rollins Dante Powers. Rollins wasn't my first boyfriend but he is my first love. He is 6'2 about a good 230 lbs.  31 year old college graduate. His skin is smooth Hershey's milk chocolate. He keeps his hair cut low and his goatee trimmed very nice and professional. He knows how to keep his work life and personal life separate, which is very important to him. Even though i am stubborn, he still tries to take complete care of me. Sometimes it drives me crazy when he tries to pay for everything but i know he means well. His mother was a housewife and I know that's what he really wants me to eventually be. I don't and can't see it happening anytime soon. He doesn't care that I work. It's just that he rather I spend all my money on me than bills. He satisfies me in more ways than one, romantically, mentally, physically and spiritually. Extremely patient for a man considering we have been together for over five years and I am still a virgin.

"Your chariot awaits, Ms. Macy." I stretched on tiptoe to kiss him. I'm only 5'7. He opened my car door for me and helped me inside. Once he was inside, as always, he helped me with my seat belt. "Did you have fun at ghetto hour?"

I punched him in his arm. "Remember one of those 'ghetto girls' is your cousin Kisha? But it was interesting as always."

“Where do you want to go?"

“Let’s go back to your place and watch a movie. Is that ok?"

He started the car and drove off, “Sure, whatever you want to do I am there. You going to spend the night?"

"I don't see why not. I don't work tomorrow. Plus I love spending Sundays with you." I grabbed his hand and held it in my lap.

"Oh good. Well the feeling is mutual." His hand nestled between my thighs giving me a moist feeling in my Secrets. “Thanks for keeping my hand warm. So what was among the topics for discussion tonight? World hunger, homelessness, New York stock exchange, sales at Body Central?"

"Oh ye of not so funny jokes. It’s interesting you should ask. Because you and your other girlfriend was up for discussion."

“MY WHAT!?! Girl, you gonna make me wreck my car." I laughed at his response. "That ain't funny Ms. Macy. Explain. What other girlfriend?"

"Someone was saying that it basically is impossible for an experienced man such as yourself to wait five years for a girl like me to become ready. You have to be getting it from somewhere."

"Wow, and do you believe this nonsense?"

"No baby, I don't. I told them that I love and trust you. I have no worries. I know you better not cheat on me." I responded jokingly.

"Listen and listen well. I have every intention to make you my wife. I do not need, want or see any other women because I have everything I require in you. I love that you're smart, very full of charisma and stubbornness. I love how you don't wear fake hair but rock your own wavy hair. You don't drown yourself in make-up. And that's just a sample of why I love you. Don't ever get it twisted. I don't want anyone else."

"Yes sir." I smiled and rested my eyes the rest of the way there.

We walked into his two floor three bedroom condominium and I took my jacket and shoes off. I turned to him and said, "Where do you want to watch the movie?"

While loosening his tie he said, "We can watch in my bedroom. Go ahead upstairs and I will get us something to drink. Pick a movie and get it started. Please no musicals tonight."

I snickered, “Fine no 'Rent' then. Your lost." I ran up the stairs and put on 'Bruce Almighty'. He loves Jim Carrey movies. His bedroom was decorated by his mother with dark shades of brown and blue. The chocolate brown leather headboard on his California king bed matched the furniture in the sitting area perfectly. The master bathroom was more dominant with shades of navy blue. There was a separate shower and tub. Attached to the bathroom was a huge walk-in closet. He moved all of his things to one half of the closet to make room for me even though I keep refusing to move in. I slipped into one of his Cincinnati Bengals jersey which almost look like a dress on me.

"Damn you even make football sexy." He placed the cups on the nightstand. He crawled slowly onto the bed next to me. I nuzzled closer to him and slid under his arm. He looked at me with a smile. He kissed me softly on my forehead, then moved down to my nose. He paused and stared at me.

Sometimes I hated when he paused. Just kiss me! I couldn't wait any longer so I kissed him. Our tongues danced their own dance. His hands wandered under the jersey and was rubbing my breast on top of my bra. He broke off our kiss and just stared at me. His eyes were asking for permission to go farther. Just then, Leah's voice played in my head, "Twice!" I took a deep breath while I slowly sat up. I removed the jersey carefully and then my bra. Gently, I laid back down next to him.

Words of Intimacy Part 2

 Words of Intimacy Part 2
"You're virgin. Ok. And? I am a strong believer in good things comes to those who wait. I believe you are definitely worth the wait."

I shyly grinned, "What makes you thinks so?"

"I am usually a good judge of character. Just our conversation now. The fact you have been saving yourself. Now that is out of the way. It's getting late. Let me get you home."

"Oh it’s cool. I can take the bus."

He laughed as he remove his phone from his holster, "Umm, hell no. I want to make sure you get home safely...Excuse me just one second.... Yes we are on Fountain Square near Fifth Street...Thank you...Come on. Let’s get you home."

We stood up and started walking towards Fifth Street, "Ok who was that?"

"That was my driver. I don't always let him drive me around but parking downtown is horrible." Within ten minutes, a black Lincoln Town car pulled up. He opened the door for me and I slid over on the seat. "What’s your address?"

I recited my address to the driver. I just sat back in awe at this man next to me. How long would this gentleman act go on?

"So Ms. Macy when can I take you on a proper first date?"

"Uh um honestly I don't know. Tomorrow is my only off day. I have been working extra hours so I can move to a better apartment with my best friend Sylver."

He smiled, "That's perfect. I am off tomorrow now too. I'll pick you up at 3. Is that good for you?" He laughed as my mouth dropped open wide. "I will take that as a yes."

"Wow pushy are we?" I asked.

He grabbed my hand, "Seriously if it is a problem say so."

I sat back in silence all the rest of the way to my apartment in Silverton. When we stopped I reached for the handle.

He released my hand and said, "Let me get the door for you. Please." I raised my hands as in surrender. He got out the car and walked around to my side to open the door. He reached out his hand to help me out. We walk to the front of my building hand in hand. “Thank you for giving me the opportunity to talk to you today. I enjoyed your company. I really hope you let me take you out tomorrow."

I smiled softly and playfully rolled my eyes, "That's fine. I will see you tomorrow at 3. Bye Rollins."

I got out of the shower around 1:30. While straightening my hair I received a text from Rollins telling me to dress comfortable. I smiled as I finished my hair. I threw on my new black jeans, my UC bearcats jersey and sweatshirt. I cleaned up my living room so he wouldn't think I was a complete slob.

Right at 3:00 my doorbell rang. I looked out the window and saw his car. I buzzed him in and left the door ajar. I sat down on the couch and started putting on my black and red Nike Air Max. He knocked on the door as he gently pushed it open. He was so sexy wearing Sean John jeans and matching shirt. He walked over to me, helped me to my feet and then into his arms. Even his hug was sensual.

"I love your hair. So are you ready Ms. Macy?" he asked holding my hands.

"Um...Um Yeah. But you don't have to call me Ms. Macy. Just Macy is fine." I grabbed my purse and keys. He followed me out of the apartment and building.

"Actually I prefer Ms. Macy." I nodded my head in agreement.

We rode to Eden Park where we walked around the wading pool talking and holding hands. It was interesting how open he was. I learned about his first girlfriend, his first time, and even his last time getting a whooping.  My phone rang and I ignored it. He looked confused.

"Do you need to get that? It may be important. It’s okay."

I exhaled and answered my phone. "Hello...Hello? Serenity?" I heard her voice but she wasn't talking to me. Then I heard her scream. "Oh my God!" I heard her boyfriend Rayshawn in the background yelling and cursing. I covered my mouth and sat down on the bench as I heard a crash. Tears started rolling down my face.

"What’s wrong?" Rollins stood directly in front of me. I handed him the phone. He listened then grabbed my hand and pulled me off the bench. "Let's go! Do you know where they are?"

"Uh... yeah... probably at his house in Winton Terrance. Why?"

"Here, use my phone to call 9-1-1 and send them there. Tell the driver where it is also." I did as he said as we ran to the car.

I don't think I ever rode in a car going so fast. Tears still streamed down my face. I was so scared for my sister. I was hoping she broke up with him. How can a person go back to an abusive relationship? What if he really hurts her this time? What if he kills her? Rollins saved me from my thoughts by grabbing my hand.

"Is this the first time this has happened?"

I took a deep breath and responded, “No this isn't. I tried to save her before. I had her staying at my house so my parents wouldn't see the bruises and so I could watch her. She left this morning saying she was going to the school library."

"How long has this been going on?"

"Who knows but I started noticing something six months ago and called her out about it. The first time she told me she got into a fight at a club. The second time I notice something was up, I was visiting her. I went to the bathroom. He came home and did not know I was there." Tears flowed more. I continued, "He was mad about something and was yelling. When I made my way to the living room, all I saw was her hitting the ground and him standing above her." Rollins squeezed my hand a little tighter.

"Let me guess, she convinced you to keep it a secret. Or this was the first time? Or he didn't mean it and she provoked him in some way?"

When we pulled onto the street, we saw the ambulance and police cars. The driver got as close as he could. I jumped out and ran the rest of the way to the house. I froze when I saw the stretcher coming from the house and rushed to the ambulance.

"Serenity!" a police man grabbed me. "That is my sister! Let me go! Let me go!" He finally let me go then a paramedic helped me in the ambulance with my sister. She was unconscious with a swollen eye and busted lip. I watched them work over her. All I could do was cry into my hands.

At the hospital, they had me wait in the lobby while they dealt with Serenity. I rested my face into my hands and tried to take a deep breath. Without notice, I felt someone sat next to me. I looked up and it was Rollins.

Through tears I asked, "What are you doing here?"

He handed me some tissues. "Did you think I would let you go through this alone? Plus we are still on a date. Did you call your parents?"

"No not yet. I am scared to. Sorry about this. Let’s just be honest. This is how my life is always. There is never a dull moment. There seems to be always some kind of drama following me. This may be a good time to end this before it goes any farther. You need a simple yet perfect model type woman. And that is far from being me. I understand and would appreciate you leaving now." I told him and placed my face back in my hands.

He sat back in his chair and exhaled. He used his hand to rub my back gently.

"Are you Serenity King's sister?" I sat up and saw a doctor standing directly in front of me. I nodded my head slowly. "I am Dr. Stockton. Your sister suffered a grade 3 concussion, bruised ribs, and some other minor bruising. We want to keep her until tomorrow to watch her. She is resting now. When she wakes, I will have a nurse come and get you."

Rollins stood and shook the doctor’s hand, "Thank you, Doctor." As the doctor walked away he sat back down next to me. "Ms. Macy come here please."

I ignored his request and continued to cry in my hands. He pulled me slowly into his arms and rested my head on his chest.

"If you haven't notice yet, I am not going anywhere. You intrigue me. I really want to learn more about you and see where this can go. You may not believe me but I believe in love at first sight."

Words of Intimacy Part 1

Some of you may not know this but I wrote a novel. It took me about two years to finally finish it. But I have to admit I am very proud of it and myself. Not completely sure how to publish it, I thought I would do it this way. My version of a Blog Opera. My version of a soap opera through a blog. Every Monday I will post the next piece of my novel until it is done, that way a couple can enjoy it if they want. With that being said here is Part 1 of "Words of  Intimacy" by Kia Kitchen (Me). Let me know what you think. Questions or comments are welcome and appreciated.

Words of Intimacy
How it all began

****August 2007****

I was running late for work at Cincy Everything and Wings. I hate catching the bus but oh well. As soon as I dashed in, Sasha ran up to me and was begging me to take her last table.

"Girl look their food order is already in. You can keep the tip. I need to get out of here, like now and pick up little Nicky from daycare before they charge me an arm and a leg. Please," she pleaded.

I exhaled, "Who is this table?"

"Just six stuffy suits. Table 33. They have been before. Numerous times.  Should be a nice tip." She winked and nodded in the direction of the table. " I am surprised you have never had them before."

"You owe me." She pulled my arm all the way to the table.

"Gentlemen, this is Macy." They all looked at me and smiled. "She will be taking over for me. Enjoy your evening." I smiled at the men and went to check on their food.

Everything seemed to go smoothly. The men were really preoccupied with their conversations, so they really didn't bother me. They were passing around a laptop that had graphs and figures.  Once the table was done and gone, I went to the table to collect my tip. The tip averaged out to be $12 a person. I happily began to clear the dishes off the table.

"Excuse me. Ms. Macy, isn't it?" I looked up and there was one of the suits. The sexiest one.

"Yes. Can I get you something?"

"I hate to sound corny but you could get me your number? I would love to take you out sometime." I hesitated, not wanting to seem desperate. He smiled and said," Well, look at this way you saying yes would stop the police from being involved."

I stopped what I was doing. He had my attention now, "Excuse me?"

"See it is quite simple. You say no. I will keep coming up here. Asking for you. Sitting in your section. Awkwardly staring at you. Repeatedly asking you out until you say yes or call the police. But then i will just have to tell them that I was the victim of love at first sight. Then they would arrest you. Sooo....can I have your number now?" He smiled genuinely.

I laughed.

"Macy you have a table."

"I am sorry. She will be right there. We are just straightening out my bill."  The gentleman threw out at my manager. My manager nodded.

"I can’t believe you did that. Fine I will give you my number." I recited my number as he put it in his iPhone.

I felt my phone vibrate. I took it out of my apron to show him, "See, it’s the right number."

"Save my number. I am Rollins by the way." We shook hands.

"My real name is Intimacy. But I prefer everyone call me Macy. See you later Rollins."

He started to walk away but then stopped and turned around, "Can I see you after work, please?"

"Well, I'll text you when I am done." He walked away with a smile.

Table after table. The day was going smooth. If it wasn't for Rollins' table, today would have almost be a total waste of my time. But I was beginning to get frustrated with my last table. They would not leave. They were done eating 30 minutes ago. I went to the back room and sat down. I pulled out my phone and decided to call Rollins.

"Hello Ms. Macy." His voice was so deep and sexy. I could get use to him saying my name.

"Hi Rollins. How is your day going?" I asked.

"Okay but hoping on it to get better. Are you off now?"

I smiled, "I have this one last table that will not leave. They are driving me crazy."

"Oh I am sorry to hear that. You want me to come up there and make them leave? Don't laugh I am serious. I would. Ha ha ha. So do you drive or should I come pick you up?"

"No I don't drive but you can meet me here. I thought we can go for a walk on Fountain Square. Talk and get to know each other."

"That sounds like a plan. I am going to head that way now and hopefully that table will leave before I get there. Bye Ms. Macy."

"Bye Rollins." I hung up the phone and couldn't stop smiling.

About 10 minutes later the table finally decided to leave. I text him to say I was ready. I changed out of my drab uniform into my jeans and green hooded sweatshirt, wishing I would had worn something much more appropriate for a date. When I walked out the door, I didn't see him. I was kind of disappointed.

"Looking for someone? I hope you were looking for me." I turned around and there he was still in his work clothes.

"No, but you will do."

"Ouch. That hurts. Shall we go?" He held his hand out to me. I stared at his hand for a moment before I put my hand in his.

We walked around Fountain Square playing 20 questions. He answered every question perfectly. This man almost seems too good to be true. He had to have a flaw. We stopped at a bench near the fountain.

"So let me get this straight. You have four sisters and no brothers. All of your names pertain to love. A truck load of cousins mainly because most of your family does not believe in birth control. Wow. That's very interesting. Well my parents only had me. My mother wanted at least two more but my father on the other hand only wanted one. He has protective issues. He always had to know where we were, what we was doing and God forbid we didn't answer our cell phone when he called. I guess that's where I get it from. I will always protect my mother...... and you."

"Wow. OK. So why are you single Rollins?"

"I have always been too busy with work for a steady woman. I was always going on casual dates but nothing serious." And there it is, his flaw. He was a serial dater. I looked down at my all white Reebok Classics. He lifted my face and said, "But I know I am ready to settle down and maybe one day get married. Did I say something wrong?"

"Honestly?" He nodded. I continued, "Honestly, my last boyfriend was just like you except he forgot to tell me. So of course he ended up cheating on me. I thought we were in a committed relationship. I know it was partially my fault. But I thought ---"

"Wait a minute! Three things. First, Hi my name is Rollins and I am not your last boyfriend so please don't put me in that category with him. Second, I don't want to be your boyfriend. I want to be your man. Last, how in the hell could you blame his stupidity on yourself?"

I was shocked. I stuttered, "I pretty much pushed him in the bed with another girl because I-I am a virgin." I watched and waited for his reaction.

Can I do this? Yes I can?

Hello. Hola. What's Up?

So what's new with me? A little bit of everything. First off, I am getting married in three months on October 10, 2014. I am very excited  but I am also becoming overwhelmed. As you may or may not know event planning is what I do. When it is someone else's wedding, it is very easy for me. For my event, its ten times worse. I did not realize how anal I was on somethings.

My problem is I love the fact that I am very abnormal. I even have named my different personalities, but that is totally different post. Anywho. I don't want our wedding to be completely traditional.(I have some tricks up my sleeve). If you are a hairdresser, people pretty much would expect your hair to look good all the time. If you are a doctor, some people would be shock if you are sick. With that being said , as a event planner  my event should be entertaining and flawless.

My engagement party theme was Hollywood movie premiere. It was so much fun and turned out better than I planned. I hired staff to set up, serve and clean up. We had a photographer who was the "paparazzi". WE rolled out the red carpet. To help with the blending of families, my family wore black and his wore red. It was so enjoyable to see the mixture of red and black at each table. Our families got along famously. There was dancing and we had a live band. I hired a wonderful artist to do caricatures of everyone.

These are our cupcake cakes from WalMart. Yes WalMart.

These edible arrangements was actually made by my sister. Excellent job!!!

Our candy buffet!!!!!!!!! Nothing was left.

The staff I hired individually from craigslist.org.

Mouth Pain...Cha Cha Cha

Did you miss me? I know you did. You don't even have to answer. I had some minor set backs like a sore tooth. When I went to the dentist, of course he said, "Lets pull it out!!" Yeah ,Ouch! I called off Tuesday but I have to make that money so I went in last night.

One of my favorite nights "Salsa Night".

Well, first thing I would like to address is a little bathroom etiquette. It is one thing to text in the stalls but do not make an actual phone call while you are sitting on the potty in a public establishment. Because A) its gross- people dont want to hear you flush or grunt. B) when you make a phone call your voice echos, not to mention if the music is pumping you begin to yell and that can get annoying and C) accidents happen alot to drunk: you are on the potty you put the phone between your head and shoulder, you stand up to pulll up your Victoria's Secret and PLOP! You are now crying cause you r phone doesn't know how to swim. For the record I am not paid enough to get your phone out the toilet but if you tip me right.........

Whenever the bathroom is empty I may venture out to see what is going on, plus I love to watch them dance ( one day it will be me). One thing that I got to watch was the Birthday Dance. They will stop the music announce if you have birthday please come to the middle of the floor. Once there they will space all you out and then start a song. If you are a guy every girl will get the chance to dance with you and vice versa. They actually line up in front you for their turn. I am sorry but I think that is so cool.

One thing that is a major difference from other nights and clubs is that normally when a girl is dancing and grooving by herself or with friends they have to be on guard. At any moment you may feel someone starting to grind on your booty. Without you even knowing he was cute, tall, or your type. Now on salsa night it is the total opposite. Guys will actually approach and ask you to dance. Yes chivalry is not dead. The other is if you turn him down he will not waste anytime asking the next available girl who may be your friend. They will find someone to dance with.

The cutest thing last night was this newlywed couple of two years ( well of course I only met the woman) was there with friends who were giving them dance lessons, well at least trying . The lady was so happy that her husband was willing to give a try since they didnt even have the first dance on their wedding day due to his lack of moves. SHe seem so conservative and nervous. On one of my many breaks, I went out there and saw they couple both with love and fun in their eyes. But then it happen, she dropped it. Yes she dropped it like it was hot on fire with pure desire. ANd trust me you could tell it was a shock to him too.
